Mubasher: The United States' trade deficit of goods dropped by 10.3% in March to $68 billion, data released on Thursday showed.
The figure came below analysts' forecasts of a $73.4 billion deficit last month, according to MarketWatch.
The US government's advanced report on wholesale inventories indicated a 0.5% rise last month, while advanced retail inventories declined by 0.4%.
In March, imports dropped while exports surged, narrowing the deficit in goods points to a smaller overall trade deficit during the month.
